Food for thought: Is ‘fernweh’ the new ‘wanderlust’?

It’s getting awfully stale, isn’t it?

Wanderlust‘, I mean.

Which is a pity, because it describes one’s itchy-footedness to a tee (without sounding like one has some sort of fungal infection on one’s feet).

Anyhow, one must move on. And one shall.

OK, one will stop referring to oneself as ‘one’ (but to be fair, one found it most amusing).

One is done now.

Anyway, back to talk of the overuse of ‘wanderlust’. Here are 24 words that describe travel-y things better than ‘wanderlust’ (from Be warned, however, #22 on said list, ‘fernweh’ is spreading like wildfire. Especially on the Instagram and the like – #fernweh is the new #wanderlust, if you catch my #drift.
